During most conferences or meetings, you’re in and out of function rooms all day, exposing yourself to a variety of people, germs, and contaminants. It’s like being a crowded airplane. But you and your attendees can now breathe easier at the Wyndham Miami Airport & Executive Meeting Center – which features Thayer Lodging Group’s PURE Meeting Rooms , the hospitality industry’s first allergy-friendly conference venues.

PURE Meeting Rooms are 99.9% allergenic-free. This results from a rigorous seven-step process to destroy the mold, fungi, bacteria, dust, and pollen that degrade air quality and irritate allergies and asthma. In addition, the air in these facilities is circulated up to eight times per hour. The result: First, fresh air is mixed in and impurities are filtered out, leaving attendees more alert, awake, and refreshed. Second, there is a significant decrease in germ- and bacteria-sharing. The cleansing process of our IACC-certified conference rooms is as follows:

• Everything in the conference room -- from the curtains to the carpeting to the air-conditioning units -- are cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial agent.

• A cartridge containing tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic and disinfectant, is installed in the heating and cooling unit.

• The rooms undergo a four-hour ozone shock treatment, to kill any remaining living organisms and zap all associated odors.

• PureShield provides a bacteriostatic barrier to repel microorganisms that trigger allergies, cause illness, and distress guests.
